Dentons Raises £14,000 in Support of Cancer Patients Through Inspiring Partnership

In a heartening show of community spirit and dedication, global law firm Dentons has raised an impressive £14,000 in partnership with NHS Lothian Charity: Fighting Against Cancer Edinburgh (FACE).

The firm’s staff rallied together, organising an array of engaging activities – from soul-soothing yoga sessions and irresistible bake sales to exciting raffles and sponsored challenges. Some team members even went the extra mile by setting personal goals, putting their determination and compassion into action in support of those affected by cancer. This collective effort not only brought staff closer together but also brought a wave of comfort to local patients.

The money raised will help enhance NHS Lothian services for individuals undergoing cancer treatment, both in hospital settings and within the wider community. From emotional support to improved comfort and wellbeing, fundraising contributes to providing extra care during difficult times.

“We’re incredibly grateful to Dentons for their unwavering energy and generosity,” said Tumong Edwards from NHS Lothian Charity. “Thanks to their support, we’re able to fund thoughtful projects that provide real comfort to our patients – such as handheld fans at bedsides in palliative care, helping to ease discomfort caused by medication-related overheating, and the upkeep of tranquil garden spaces at the Edinburgh Cancer Centre, offering a calming retreat for patients and staff.”
