Supporting a Dedicated Office Space for Oncology Registrar Doctors
Tagged by
We were delighted to support the creation of a dedicated office space for registrar doctors in the Oncology department at the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh to help improve team dynamics, collaboration, morale and overall wellbeing.
It is a clean, beautiful and spacious place to be…it is such a treat being able to all work together.”
The absence of a permanent office space presented daily challenges for the doctors. Accessing different shared spaces on the move led to disruptions and distractions, made it difficult for the teams to share knowledge and support each other, and reduced the opportunity to recharge and reset during the working day. Moreover, there was nowhere to store personal items securely.
Recognising the need for a dedicated office space, teams at the Hospital identified a suitable location and, with the support of NHS Lothian Charity, the space was transformed into a pleasant and comfortable working environment, essential for doctors dealing with the emotional and demanding nature of their work. With new flooring, fresh paint, 12 desks, chairs, and pedestals, along with 24 lockers, we helped ensure the doctors had the necessary resources to organise their work day effectively and securely.
Our investment in a well-designed, dedicated office space highlights our commitment to working with teams across NHS Lothian to support wellbeing and the efficient and effective delivery of healthcare services.
