Andrea’s Story: From Chronic Pain to 100 Miles of Gratitude
After facing the prospect of major surgery for chronic pain, Andrea found hope and healing thanks to the support and guidance of NHS Lothian physiotherapists. Through Hydrotherapy at the Western General and subsequent aquafit classes, Andrea has been able to manage her chronic and debilitating pain. Taking part in the Walk 100 Miles in June challenge was her way to celebrate her recovery and give back to those who had supported, guided and cared for her.
Andrea’s story is a great reminder that small steps can lead to life-changing results. Her journey shows that taking on a challenge like Walk 100 Miles in June isn’t just about fitness; it’s about celebrating progress, giving back to our cherished NHS, and proving to yourself what’s possible.
