Giving in memory
Giving a gift in memory of a loved one is a special way to remember them, say thank you for their care, and make healthcare better for future patients, their families and staff.
Please accept our condolences if you have lost someone special to you. If you would prefer to speak to someone directly, please call our Planned Giving Manager Vanessa Healey on 0131 465 5850. Thank you for thinking of the patients, their families and staff of NHS Lothian at this difficult time.
Ways to donate in memory
How you choose to give in memory of your loved one is very personal. We have lots of different ways you can do this suited to you:
Collecting donations in memory at a funeral, memorial event, or life celebration service
You might choose to do this by asking for donations instead of flowers. If this is something you would like to do, we can provide you, or your chosen funeral director, with gift envelopes or collection cans. Your funeral director can give advice when organising a collection.
Give a gift in memory
You can choose to remember someone special by donating in their memory. You can do that online using our online donation form where you can tell us more about your loved one, and any specific hospital or condition you wish to support.
Take on a challenge
You can choose to organise a fundraising event or take on a challenge. We have lots of fundraising events and ideas to inspire you.
Remember a life loved
Our online in-memory pages. Many supporters ask for a way to remember their loved ones online – a special space to share memories, stories, and photos that bring comfort during difficult times. It is here for you to honour their memory in a way that’s meaningful to you.
Creating a page and fundraising in your loved one’s memory is a wonderful way to say thank you to those who cared for them.
