MyIntent
Free Wills service
Get a free Will from a leading legal firm – good for family, good for friends and good for charities like ours.

We have partnered with MyIntent to offer an accessible and inclusive service where every supporter can make a free Will for a good cause
Just follow these simple steps which will take less than an hour of your time:
- Take our online Will interview in as little as 20 minutes. Our system creates your Will from the answers you give, and we transfer it to one of our partner legal firms.
- Have a 30-minute telephone or video appointment with a legal professional. They will discuss your situation and your wishes and confirm the Will caters for your needs.
- Receive your free Will in the post, sign it and have it witnessed. You can then return a copy to the legal firm who will check it has been executed correctly and securely store it for you, also at no cost.
Your Will may be one of the most important documents you ever write. If you die without a Will your loved ones could be left with a lot of difficult decisions to make.
Having a Will ensures the people and causes that you really care about are looked after, your loved ones know your wishes and brings you peace of mind.

Richard and Jean’s story
Richard honoured his late wife, Jean’s, memory by leaving a gift in his Will to support the Breast Cancer Unit at the Western General Hospital.
“By leaving this gift to the Breast Cancer Unit I’m saying thank you for the care that gave us so many more precious years together. And I hope my gift will do the same for families facing similar challenges, giving them hope and more memories to cherish.”

Jenny’s story
Jenny honoured her late husband’s memory with a gift in her Will to support the work of the Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion.
“We all have memories, some happy, some sad, so when giving to charity in memory of a loved one, it is important for donors to know what happens to their gift. Many donors also wish to ensure that the next generation of students benefit, as many have, from the teaching skills of experts like Dr Tatham. That is why I chose Andrew’s research fund. I value his friendship and feel very privileged to know him.”

Morag’s story
Morag has chosen to say thank you for her care by supporting the patient and staff of NHS Lothian with a gift in her Will.
“The staff at the Cancer Centre were my rock. My Oncology Consultant was so competent and professional, but also a kind soul who always kept me focused on the finish line. All the nurses who cared for me had a seemingly endless well of patience and a way of making me smile, even when I felt completely deflated. They were there for every appointment, every tear, and every worry, a constant source of encouragement. They helped me discover a strength I never knew I had.”

Alan’s Story
Alan chose to support the Western General Hospital with a transformational gift in his Will. Flora tells us about her late husband’s generous donation.
““Alan went above and beyond during his lifetime for the causes he cared about, and he wanted to ensure he could continue to do so after he died. That’s why Alan chose to support the staff and patients of the Metabolic Unit with a gift in his Will. I am delighted his gift will allow the nurses to access specialist training otherwise unavailable to them, to educate and empower them to push medical care further for patients like Alan and bring some comfort to their families. It’s a fulfilling legacy and will continue the strong bond we have with the team who brought laughter and light to Alan and me during our hardest moments.”
