Accessibility Statement
This accessibility statement applies to nhslothiancharity.org and its subdomains; greenhealth.nhslothiancharity.org and tonicarts.nhslothiancharity.org
These websites are managed by NHS Lothian Charity.
At NHS Lothian Charity we are committed to making our website as accessible as possible, and want as many people as possible to be able to use it.
We use a tool called Recite Me to make our website more accessible which gives you control over how you view our content in a way that best suits you. You can access the toolbar at the top of any page on our website by clicking the ‘accessibility’ button which will show you a toolbar with different options to customise your experience. Using the Recite Me toolbar means you can:
- Change contrast levels
- Modify the font, colours, line height or spacing of text
- Zoom in up to 200% without text spilling off the screen
- The text will reflow in a single column when you change the size of your browser window
- Navigate the website using just a keyboard
- Translate the website into a different language
- Listen to the website using a screen reader
You can find out more about how to use Recite Me by reading the Recite Me User Guide available on the toolbar.
We have also tried to make the website text as simple to understand as possible.
The site has been created in line with the W3C AA compliance guidance.

- some images do not have good alternative text
- colour contrast is not sufficient in some areas
- some webpages may have non-consecutive headings
- the purpose of some links may not be clear
- some of our online content is difficult to navigate using just a keyboard
