World-renowned London Symphony Orchestra has performed a series of ground-breaking concerts at four hospitals across NHS Lothian as part of the Edinburgh International Festival. The uplifting events, organised in collaboration with NHS Lothian Charity, saw patients and staff enjoy some respite and distraction through an afternoon of music.

In a heart-warming effort to enhance the wellbeing of cancer patients, volunteers from FreeAgent, with support from staff at TCV, a conservation charity, dedicated their time to restore the FACE garden at the Western General Hospital.

Local independent chocolate artisan, COCO Chocolatier, are helping to enhance NHS Lothian staff wellbeing spaces by transforming their chocolate bar wrapper designs into bright, colourful vinyls for the walls.

Thanks to funding from NHS Lothian Charity, patients and visitors attending accident and emergency or minor injuries now have access to free, fast charging for mobile devices in as little as 30 minutes.

NHS Lothian Charity has been working with RMF Health, Shore Group and the charity’s supporters to spread joy to patients and staff who will be spending Christmas in hospital.
